Join us for a Day Trip in 2019

We are pleased bring you our 2019 programme of Day Tours. We have included a variety of days out and Seasonal Trips – we hope you will find something of interest and you can join us for a day away.

National Trust visits continue to be very popular, so this year we have included a wider range of properties for you to choose from.

We will continue to offer pick ups in Backwell, Nailsea, Portishead & Clevedon. Please see details below of pick up points and times. All tours will depart at the same time. (Except where marked otherwise – Our office will confirm times).

Bookings can be made by telephone, Monday to Friday from 10am to 12noon only, or by email. Seats can be booked with our staff and payments can be made by cheque or cash on the day of the trip. All seats are one price. All entrance charges are included.

We intend to operate trips using our 35 seater coach, but if numbers booked for trips are less, we may operate on a smaller vehicle. All are modern coaches and midicoaches with full air conditioning.

Groups – If you have a group of 8 or more people wishing to travel, we can arrange a pick up to suit you. Please ask our staff for details.

Cancellations – We would appreciate as much notice as possible if you wish to cancel a trip. If you have to cancel 5 days or less, before the trip, we are sorry but we have to make a cancellation charge. This will be the full cost of the tour. Should your cancellation be received, prior to the 5 days but after we have paid any entrance charges, we will have to make a Cancellation Charge to you to cover the entrances.

Lost Gardens, Grottoes and Steam Trains

This morning we discover Dewstow Garden and Grottoes, a lost garden with tunnels and underground grottoes buried under thousands of tonnes of soil for 50 years. These gardens were rediscovered in 2000 and an incredible restoration job now sees it back to its former glory. This afternoon we journey to Norchard Station where we board a Steam Train for our lovely 1 1⁄2 hour journey on the Dean Forest Railway. There will be time to explore the shop and museum back at the station (People with mobility difficulties may struggle a bit at the gardens).
